Human Security and Globalization

In present era the concept of security is
extended form the security of the nation to the security of the individuals like from the nation to the international system. Human security is a condition where people give relief from traumas that suffer human development means threats like hunger, disease and protection from harmful disruption whether in jobs, homes or in communities.
Globalization is escalation of socio-economic,political & cultural activities and their worldwide effects both positive & negative on individuals, groups & societies. According to UNDP (1994) human security is a concerned with how people live, exercise their choices, access to market & social opportunities & wether they live in peace or conflict.Globalization have made profound implications on the concept of Human Security. Globalization is a multi-dimensional phenomenon like information technologies expending and spreading widely.Trade is expending globally as its the flow of private capital and investment.Interdependencies are
growing in all aspects of life. These developments create possibilities to achieve economic prosperity, political freedom & promote peace. Nonetheless these are also cause of producing forces of social eradication, creating vulnerabilities, growing violence, conflict & economic crisis.Poverty and its negative effects on human security are more extensive, over a billion people lack access to safe water and a third of people in least developed countries are not to live to age of 40.It is the greatest concern of the present era.It is an ultimate threat to humanity. The widening gap between the richest & poorest nation is morally dangerous.
Another threat at global level towards humanity is security threat because as a result of the spread of knowledge and advance technologies making it easier for the states & even disaffected groups & terrorists to develop dangerous weapons, the threats are directed to their own nationalities, ethnic or religious minorities.Globalised world is so integrated that massive human rights violations in part of the world have an effect on every other part such social connectedness create moral obligation. Globalization is also exasperate issue of food health & other securities in developing countries, the impact of economic globalization on many developing nations has resulted in limited benefits to the majority of individuals, groups & societies. So the outcome is slow growth & widespread of poverty. The gap between richest and poorest is increasing everyday like in Africa mostly people are living under absolute poverty & great threat to humanity security are disease, hunger, enviromental contamination, street crimes and domestic violence. Globalization exasperate issues of food, health & other insecurities in developing nations such tendencies could create greater and long-term inequalities & insecurities and at same time the lack of political & economic will to reduce such issues will be result in resistance in developing countries that will further affect human security at global level.
